So I thought I had fixed my DVR last night and set it to record the beginning of the Steelers game tonight.  I came home a bit later than intended and sat down to play the game.

Unfortunately, I had not fixed my DVR as well as I thought.  While it was fine with watching Live TV and recording last night while I was in front of the TV, it had a problem going idle for an entire day before starting a recording.  Oops.

Fortunately, I had arrived with about 10 minute left in the fourth quarter and saw the heartbreaking fumble by Hines Ward and the efficient overtime drive by Ben to get the Steelers off to a good start to the season.

I’ve missed football.  That’s not entirely true.  I’ve missed my Steelers.

Football season is nice.  It’s a reasonable and watchable number of games and it only happens on weekends.  You get a whole week to celebrate your victories and recover from your defeats.

I’m kind of glad I didn’t see Polamalu get hurt.  Now, back to the end of Project Runway and some more Beatles: Rock Band.
