Day 242: more yogurt talk

OK, it’s official.

I’m starting to think I’m actually a bit obsessed with yogurt by weight places. Katie and I went to another newly opened location near our place.

There’s a somewhat deviant pleasure in comparing these different places. After today’s yogurt excursion (or, as I lovingly call them, yocursions), I started to even consider making some kind of yogurt locator/comparison website.

Would it be useful? Probably not, but I think it might be a fun side project. I could get used to eating yogurt with custom toppings every day.

Day 214: renn’d

Katie and I went to the Ardenwood Farm (First Annual) Renn Faire (and Shakespeare Festival), although the Shakespeare part of the title is a bit…misguided. There was very little Shakespearean content. Maybe even none.

However, it was still fun and a bit silly. We saw many kids dressed up in charming ways, and some people dressed up as knights who tried to knock each other off horses.

We also ate some authentic ye olde fried rice and pan fried noodles, and saw some goats and sheep (who were not dressed up).

Oh! There was this random guy dressed as a lizard. And a guy dressed as Robin Hood with the head of a fox. I think if you buy one of those costumes, you just find opportunities to wear it. I wouldn’t be surprised if they wore those costumes to work.

Day 196: quench

Out of all liquids ingestable, I think I prefer water. There’s something about the simplicity and pureness of it that appeals to me.

Often, if I’m very thirsty and need something to cool me down and refresh me, there’s nothing that does quite like a glass of ice water. Other times, I’ll prefer a soda, but not as much for it’s quenching as it’s sugary taste.

When it comes to pure gut quench, there’s no substitue for a cold sweaty glass of water.
