{"id":552,"date":"2009-10-16T21:18:54","date_gmt":"2009-10-17T05:18:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.scott-n-katie.com\/blog\/?p=552"},"modified":"2009-10-16T21:18:54","modified_gmt":"2009-10-17T05:18:54","slug":"day-247-where-the-wild-things-were","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.scott-n-katie.com\/blog\/?p=552","title":{"rendered":"Day 247: where the wild things were"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I\u2019ll make this short because I have to go to bed early because I plan to wake up super early tomorrow in order to drive to the beach and eat pumpkin pancakes.<\/p>\n<p>I went and saw Where the Wild Things Are tonight.&#160; It was good.&#160; It was an odd film, as it took a book that can be read in 5 minutes and turned it into a 90+ minute feature film.<\/p>\n<p>It was a strange emotional journey.&#160; I laughed, I cried, and I\u2019m still not completely sure why I did either.&#160; It\u2019s emotional, but I\u2019m not sure why.&#160; It managed to pull me in two completely opposite directions: into the role of a father-to-be and into the memories of childhood.<\/p>\n<p>It was thoroughly enjoyable and I would heartily recommend it, but I feel a bit tongue-tied about actually describing what I liked about it.&#160; Just go see it, I guess.&#160; Then we can meet and discuss it by eating yogurt and toppings while nodding silently at each other.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I\u2019ll make this short because I have to go to bed early because I plan to wake up super early tomorrow in order to drive to the beach and eat pumpkin pancakes.
