{"id":524,"date":"2009-09-30T22:57:36","date_gmt":"2009-10-01T06:57:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.scott-n-katie.com\/blog\/?p=524"},"modified":"2009-09-30T22:57:36","modified_gmt":"2009-10-01T06:57:36","slug":"day-231-electricity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.scott-n-katie.com\/blog\/?p=524","title":{"rendered":"Day 231: electricity?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An electrician came over today and helped us get our lights back on.<\/p>\n<p>Then, he said some stuff about lines and fuses and breakers that I didn\u2019t fully understand, but I think the gist of it was that although all our lights and outlets work again, there\u2019s some funky wiring that causes our fuses to be bypassed by some loop\/crossing of wires somewhere that \u2013 although not dangerous \u2013 is not the \u201cright\u201d way to do things.<\/p>\n<p>So, maybe we\u2019ll have an electrician over again in a little bit to do some more wiring work.&#160; But, for now, everything is back on and humming again!<\/p>\n<p>Also, I discovered where our master breaker box is, which should be useful should anything similar to what happened a few days ago happen again.<\/p>\n<p>If you follow this blog, you might have noticed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scott-n-katie.com\/blog\/?p=521\" target=\"_blank\">another post<\/a> earlier today that mentioned Welkin\u2019s Journal.&#160; This is a experimental podcast that I\u2019m trying out that is the journal of a character in the video game Valkyria Chronicles.&#160; This is probably of interest to only a few of you, but if you like hearing my voice, maybe you could get something out of it without knowing what the video game is about.<\/p>\n<p>Time for a fudge bar and some sleep.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An electrician came over today and helped us get our lights back on.
