{"id":334,"date":"2009-05-27T19:57:35","date_gmt":"2009-05-28T03:57:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.scott-n-katie.com\/blog\/?p=334"},"modified":"2009-05-27T19:57:35","modified_gmt":"2009-05-28T03:57:35","slug":"day-105-et-in-arcadia-ego","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.scott-n-katie.com\/blog\/?p=334","title":{"rendered":"Day 105: et in arcadia ego"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tonight, I saw my third Arcadia staging in my life.&#160; I liked it.&#160; It\u2019s a good show, full of memorable lines, characters, and wry mathematical humor.&#160; It\u2019s pretty classic Stoppard, and as such thoroughly entertaining and filled with academic references to things.<\/p>\n<p>More than anything else, it made me want to do math.&#160; And write some sort of story based in two separate times.<\/p>\n<p>I conceived of a half-baked plot during my college playwriting class that took place in two different periods of time, but I never actually sketched out what happened at the end.&#160; It also had a tinge of a horror element to it, which I feel never plays out that well on the stage.<\/p>\n<p>We also walked around DC today and visited the Spy Museum where we helped stop a nuclear disaster, although I disagreed with my fellow agents, which would have potentially been a PR disaster for our fictional spy agency.&#160; I suppose that makes me not a great spy.<\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow, we head back home in the afternoon, but our hopes are to get a tour of Ford\u2019s Theatre tomorrow morning, along with some more Dunkin Donuts.<\/p>\n<p>I did drink a Yuengling today, so that\u2019s already in the books.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tonight, I saw my third Arcadia staging in my life.&#160; I liked it.&#160; It\u2019s a good show, full of memorable lines, characters, and wry mathematical humor.&#160; It\u2019s pretty classic Stoppard, and as such thoroughly entertaining and filled with academic references to things.
