{"id":333,"date":"2009-05-26T18:14:44","date_gmt":"2009-05-27T02:14:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.scott-n-katie.com\/blog\/?p=333"},"modified":"2009-05-26T18:14:44","modified_gmt":"2009-05-27T02:14:44","slug":"day-104-my-milkshake","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.scott-n-katie.com\/blog\/?p=333","title":{"rendered":"Day 104: my milkshake"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I tend to like milkshakes, although I don\u2019t often stray far from vanilla in terms of flavor.&#160; I think I like them because of their hybrid state, the feeling that I am doing something that\u2019s not quite real, like I\u2019m drinking something solid.<\/p>\n<p>I like it because it takes something I really like (ice cream) and makes it portable, but unlike its sister \u2013 the ice cream cone \u2013 isn\u2019t something that can become a sticky mess.<\/p>\n<p>I like them because the experience of drinking one changes as time passes.&#160; Initially, good thick milkshakes are a challenge for your mouth and jaw muscles, but a pleasant one.&#160; As time goes on, and your mouth gets more tired, the drink becomes weaker \u2013 almost as if it knew what you wanted! \u2013 keeping the mouth strength to coagulation ratio near equal throughout the entire drink.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, I like milkshakes because they\u2019re like an unhealthy version of milk.&#160; Anything that can take something that\u2019s purported to be part of a balanced diet and turn it into a luxurious and sinful dip into slowly becoming fat is a winner in my book.<\/p>\n<p>Good job, milkshakes of the world.<\/p>\n<p>I suppose I also find it amusing that the word could also be a euphemism for the posterior.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I tend to like milkshakes, although I don\u2019t often stray far from vanilla in terms of flavor.&#160; I think I like them because of their hybrid state, the feeling that I am doing something that\u2019s not quite real, like I\u2019m drinking something solid.
